Laffy Taffy Candy With Sprinkles

Cosmology Myth and Fe

this week full of faith in Mexico and many parts of the world are bring just that, a supplement for the RPG Embelyon called Myth and Faith, written by Alvaro Lopez and illustrated by Arthur Rackham, the spread a little more one of the few weak points with those who had the game, the pantheon of gods, and it is not to tell them but recycled the cosmology of D & D which seemed meager for a game so well done.

The supplement is short in length. Just a few pages, but these serve their purpose well, laying the foundations of some myths and providing the master space to expand or modify what we are to achieve a better experience for our players. then download it from this link or visit the official website .

Thank You Notes To A Pastor After A Funeral

Game of Thrones

"Summers extend for decades,
Winters can last a lifetime,
and the struggle for the throne of iron is about to begin "

Greetings comrades in arms, "Game of Thrones" (Game of Thrones) is the new HBO series this summer. based on the saga of George RR Martin "Song of Ice and Fire." consisting of five volumes and two more to come, as well as two short stories, being "Game of Thrones" the first of the series.

So far these are the books published:
-
Game of Thrones - A Clash of Kings
-
Storm of Swords - A Feast for Crows
- Dragon Ball

The HBO adapted the first volume and thus can seen so far with the progress and photos in my opinion did a great job of adapting the environment and the taste of the continent called "Poniente" (Westeros in original)

Sean Bean returns to the sword and fight the intrigues and betrayals as the Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark. (Boromir in Lord of the rings in case some unsuspecting not located).
In later articles we will see the plot and other characters in the first ten chapters that make up the first season.

Here I leave the trailer to give him a look.

Mastrabating With A Condem

The figure of the "unreliable narrator (unreliable narrator) has given the film and literature of some of his most memorable moments (think of anything else at the end of Memento , one of my favorites for instance). It is, as its name clearly states, the use of a narrator whose credibility is compromised for any reason. The disclosure of this situation is (usually) the "twist ending " that allows the dots that first appeared loose and rediscover and reinterpret history. But as its name also expresses with clarity, the figure needs a narrator to work: a character in history or elsewhere, but in the end character. So what happens when it seeks to use the resource, but replacing the character narrator, by the camera? With several successes and errors, Gustavo Hernández proposed to answer to this question in Muda House.
Inspired by an unsolved crime in the Uruguayan in the 40's, House Muda tells the 78 minutes during which Laura (Florence Colucci) tries to escape from people or presences that inhabit renovate the house to be with his father. Promoted with the line "real fear real time", the film achieved notoriety long before its release because it was shot entirely with a still camera and one large 78-minute sequence shot (more than an afterthought to credit.) And perhaps the main problem lies precisely in the way deal leaving too random content. It must be said, in its technical aspects the movie shines. The camera work seems impossible in a set that is a real house and not a decoration, and yet the camera movements are completely stunning, especially when we consider that respond to both the suspense to be generated and the need the "single shot" (in quotes, yes. I do not want to accuse anyone of lying but there are cuts, at least three. If in fact would not have no need of an editor as listed in the credits. Anyway continuity is not affected in any time). It is this technical feat, however, that demonstrates the impossibility of transforming the "unreliable narrator" in a "reliable observer (the camera). House Muda is certainly an heir to The Blair Witch Project -1999 - (The scene in which Laura momentarily out of the house can not be, in fact, nothing less than a tribute) but unlike this film (or the most recent deliveries Paranormal Activity), not the premise for "documentary" of film found or similar excuses, ie: the camera is not operated by any enabling character witness the truth of what happens in the film (for the purpose of the film, of course). By losing the cameraman as part of the scene (as Laura is supposedly one), we must accept that the eye that looks is an external entity (the director) and not at the scene. The resource Hernandez then chosen to maximize the approach "real" action, which is ultimately what doomed from the moment when the director chooses CHEATING, showing that in reality things are not happening as well as the sample (Hitchcock would be horrified). When the traditional scheme of the unreliable narrator, the twist is revealed and the condition of "unreliable" narrator is evident, the viewer is able to reconstruct what was seen and new meanings from the new viewpoint. But if the "twist" does not come from the hand of this figure, as in the case of House Muda, we are deprived of the elements necessary to reconstruct the history and the final feeling of confusion and of being deceived, but without the usual reward of being able to decipher parts of deception (at least not first hand).
is not, however, a terrible experience, because as a horror film, House works Muda through very well (with 3 or 4 times very effective) and as an experiment in form is really interesting, especially as the Uruguayan market. Still, something is missing ...

Ladies White Linen Pants

Well as I said here is a small but effective guide on how to design a good dungeon.

First Step: Thinking in the constructor and purpose.

and builder Because if I do not mean you but the individual (s) or creature (s) who created and built the place, if you were a fanatical cult of Orcus or an old elf king. to determine whether this is also the builder of the place is the villain of the adventure or someone who died long ago.

must also determine the purpose of the place, if a tomb, a temple or a wizard's tower in the woods, remember that no purpose for the site then we will not have a clear idea of to do with it. At this point I was surprised by my son because he decided his dungeon was a defensive maze designed to protect the treasure and the tomb of a legendary king of the dwarfs, which in my over 15 years of play never thought of it, after researching I realized that in the history of our world and labyrinths have existed for similar purposes.

Step Two: Costs of construction and essential elements.

We have to think if the creator of the site thought to create something focused on efficiency or on aesthetic and in any case no one will build rooms without any purpose or rooms in which giant people spend long hours just going from one place to another cleaning or meeting their daily work.

To avoid falling into these errors we must first make a list of the rooms that require our dungeon. Torture chambers, rooms for the guards, cooks, shops, laboratories, cells, and an item that no one seems to give importance, one bath.

Finally a place for the rest of the warrior

Step Three: Style architectural and traps.

This is where all the visual detail we decided we should include as few things more boring than the classic empty room with only maybe a monster that seems to be doing nothing but wait for the adventurous.

Think of something that makes exciting place, multiple levels connected by stairs, more than one ticket, ornamentation in the form of gargoyles, stone statues, spiderwebs, bridges or maybe track designs in the floor tiles. Something that makes the experience enjoyable for players and allow them to imagine that's about it.

Now before you put the first trap we must ask if the place was designed for continuous use, because if so we can not put many of these, as a place where its inhabitants spend half the time remembering passwords and avoiding traps is not very attractive place to live do not believe.

remember that all traps have a way off (by the owner of the treasure guarded must have a way to recover back right? And detected. Small holes in the wall or mysterious mats on the floor show places where skilled players can find traps, even without a good score in their ability to search.

Step Four: Monsters and treasure.

There are three types of monsters and creatures around Dungeon, Originals, intentional and accidental. The first are those that were put there by the creator / owner of the place, like zombies in a catacomb or cultists in a temple. The second are those who may have got after the place and are determined to stay or to establish their base of operations there. Orcs decided to store the gold of looting in those ancient ruins or Drow who use the site to sell slaves to other underground races. Accidental and finally are those who came to the place by mistake and decided to stay or simply could not back out, examples of these are: Umber hulks, or green slimes to vampires. We see our cell as an ecosystem in which all residents must have a way to get food, water and oxygen.

Adding treasure we must take into account that this must be significant and / or useful for the site operator or people, that many did not see much logic to the priests who guard the powerful book of infinite spells or beast Offsetting that guards a chest with potions. The treasure must be attractive to local people not the players.

Step Five: Drawing the place.

Now if with all the proper training should not be too difficult to draw a map containing all the elements mentioned above, do not forget also to be creative in history that will take our players to the place.

I leave you with some pictures of the fighting in the maze designed by my son.

Changeling Dungeons

party meat and some sleep, the appearance of the dual nature of evidence changelings. Elos can see each other with their true forms: as the embodiment of dreams, formed by the glamor of the magic of fairies.

And though they hide under the guise of a mortal, the appearance of a Changeling depends on who you see, it does not change shape like other creatures in the world of darkness, are of another world that is not part of us but is in a tense juxtapositions.

This time I bring the game Changeling Quickstart White wolf, though in truth I can not think of anyone who would like to play this thing, the story is confusing and even after giving a read there were several things that I am not clear, but as they say, there are people for everything is not it, is maybe I'm not the type of people who will run the supplement or do not understand in all its intricate history, who knows.

Why Do My Feet Hurt In My Iceskates

The role of life

seems like yesterday when I held for first time in my rod yet it's been 11 years, only yesterday began a campaign of D & D 3.5 is designed by him, in which we go into a dungeon in the purest style low mountain Forgotten Realms is that since more boy, my son has always enjoyed of large and labyrinthine dungeons spent long hours with me reviewing maps and playing Wizardry V or Eye of the Beholder for PC.

shortly after began to map the sole and inevitable step, developing a huge and deadly dungeon dying to try some clueless adventurers, in this case us.

Although the first session of play we could only aimed at the entry of that grim place that served for a server to help him to polish some details of game management and for the parties are known, although only 4 adventurers are confident that we can get ahead with the adventure.

I leave you with some pictures of the item in question, and promised an article where I explain how to design a dungeon.
